Backyard Escapes desires to represent a solid foundation and ethical business practices, which includes building lasting relationships with satisfied customers and standing behind the quality of our product. As a result, we will endeavor to repair or replace any item or issue with our products that is reasonable and is not constructed in a manner consistent with what would be reasonably expected to be a portable storage building. The purpose of this warranty is to outline the specifics of our warranty and to clearly indicate the instances that are reasonable and unreasonable to address under a warranty.
Once installed, your Backyard Escapes outbuilding product is and should remain free of workmanship and material defects. The Limited Warranty is as follows:
When used appropriately and maintained properly, Backyard Escapes guarantees that this
product will remain structurally sound. Normal wear and tear, fading of exterior surfaces, and general aging, which is common of any outdoor product that is exposed to natural elements, will occur. As with any building which is located on top of the ground, settling may occur. You also will need to periodically clean, paint, caulk and keep vegetation from growing around the edges of the structure, which will cut off ventilation.
This warranty does not cover broken windows or other damage not reported at the time of
initial delivery and setup (Cases reported within 24 hours will be considered at the discretion of Backyard Escapes) and is only to the original purchaser.
This warranty does not apply to any building which has been subjected to misuse, alteration, negligence, accident, or has been damaged by vandalism, theft, water sprinklers, fire, flood, water, earthquake, hail, wind, adverse weather, insects, or other acts of God. Backyard Escapes, does not warranty accessories or parts from outside manufacturers where the product installed on a Backyard Escapes barn has its own warranty, which exceeds the Backyard Escapes warranty.
This warranty does not cover water sealers. Water sealer is rated for 3 years under normal
environmental conditions; under certain circumstances that rating can vary including, but not limited to, an abnormal amount of sunlight or wet conditions for extended periods of time.
This warranty does not cover missing or lost keys or damage caused by any other misuse,
alteration, neglect, improper maintenance, or abuse not specifically described in the preceding above.
Backyard Escapes is not liable for any of the contents stored in the building including any
damage caused to the contents by the defect of the building.
Backyard Escapes is not liable for any installation/repair costs for the natural characteristics of wood to split, warp and twist. Due to the weight of your building, natural settling may occur over time and it may become necessary to re-level the building. This limited warranty does not include re-leveling; however, Backyard Escapes will provide this service for a fee. Multiple trips to re-level a building may indicate an unsuitable foundation or ground conditions. Pressure treated flooring is CCX grade and may have imperfections in appearance or seam gaps due to shrinkage or delamination from the pressure treating process; therefore, appearance is not covered under this warranty.
